This Is For Harry

Si avvicina questo 13 Luglio. Avrò pure 22 anni, ma Harry Potter è stato un amico d'infanzia, è stato la mia infanzia. Quelli sono forse gli unici libri vissuti che ho, io, che i libri li tratto con i guanti di velluto ed evito di aprire troppo le pagine per rovinare il dorso di copertina. Non li cambierei per niente al mondo, sono pieni di lacrime, profumano come profumavano la prima volta che li ho letti, anche se al momento non si possono contare le volte che sono stati aperti. Troppe. Così tante che ogni volta che li chiudo mi sembra di perdere qualcosa di talmente prezioso, che solo la sensazione di perdere un amico può avvicinarsi a quello che provo.
So, sono anch'io una HPAddicted, anche io sono in lutto, anche io non vedo l'ora che arrivi l'ultimo film, anche se l'attesa più grande c'è stata fino al 5/1/2008 alle 00,00 nella Feltrinelli di Viale Libia.

Una lamentela al giorno...

Io odio, detesto, odissimo le stupide traduzioni dei libri: perché noi italiani dobbiamo tradurre/cambiare anche i nomi propri?? Perché? Qualcuno lo sa? Qualcuno può fermare queste barbarità barbariche?

Little Hands Clapping

No, dico: dove l'ha vista la "favola entusiasmante" l'Observer? Il Financial Times dovrebbe occuparsi di fornire le notizie economico-finanziare per le quali è nato, invece di dare false speranze a lettori ignari, con le parole: "Una favola divertentissima che piacerà sia ai cinici che agli idealisti". M'è sfuggita la favola?? E mi sa che mi sono sfuggite anche le trovate disseminate per ognuna delle 246 pagine che mi faranno ridere a crepapelle. Qui l'unico che ci ha preso è il Guardian: "Un romanzo macabro, brillante e terrificante".
Certo, il tipo ha una certa abilità nella prosa, eh, non c'è che dire, e la fantasia sicuramente non gli manca. Questo romanzo sarebbe il sogno di un analista di racconti, pieno com'è di analessi, prolessi e tutto l'armamentario, ed è davvero un romanzo originale, ma non ho potuto fare a meno di leggerlo con un ghigno d'orrore sulla faccia, pagina dopo pagina.

Poker Love

Le storie d’amore fra le carte. Chi non le immaginava? Passare tutte le estati nella casa al mare, guardando nonni, genitori e zii giocare con le carte da poker e restare a guardare, perché no, questo è un gioco per grandi. Però puoi stare qui in braccio e tirare le carte che ti indico io. Allora ben poca importanza avevano i punti. L’importante erano le figure. E siccome le carte francesi hanno prevalentemente numeri, quando ti trovi a scartare la Donna di Cuori sei sempre un po’ titubante, non vuoi separarla dal Fante di Picche. Sì perché il Re aveva un ruolo troppo severo per piegarsi a simili frivolezze, e il Jolly era troppo cattivo, con quel suo ghigno storto per provare amore. E allora stavi lì, esultando ogni qualvolta una coppia si univa, fantasticando sulla diversità dei loro semi, che si adattava così bene l’uno all’altro. Un amore da Principe e Povero, dove il povero era il Fante, costretto a rincorrere la sua Dama, nel ruolo della principessa. Eh sì che i bambini sono più saggi dei grandi, da sempre.
